Vedas, astrology and Samkhya, the Divine Link…

Astrology is the study of the influences of Vedic Deities on the day to day activities of a nativity. Now question arises about what links Vedas and Astrology. Answer to this question is Samkhya.

According to MahaRishi Mahesha Yogi,
Samkhya is one of the structuring dynamics of Rk Veda. It highlights the ENUMERATING quality involved in structuring Rk Veda. With reference to consciousness, Samkhya comprises the specific sets of laws of Nature that are engaged in promoting the quality of Chhandas — the object of observation, which hides the dynamism of Devata in the witnessing quality of Rishi — within the Samhita level of consciousness, providing a structure to the eternally silent, self-referral, self-sufficient, fully awake state of consciousness, which is intimately personal to everyone.

So Samkhya is one of the scaffold based on which our Rishis had constructed Rk Vedas. It is the underlying principal which forms the linchpin for the development of various rituals, yajanas, sholkas and mode/ways of living to achieve not just harmony with the Laws of nature but to utilize these Laws to achieve greatness in different form of material aspects and finally attaining Mokesha in spiritual life.

Samkhya represents that divine structure which can be considered as the initial spark of divinity which enlightens a yogi on the path of GAYNA YOGA. When a Yogi earns substantial merit by performing various penances in this and previous janamas and if DESIRE TO KNOW SELF emerges in such a yogi and if such a yogi will calm his mind and INQUIRY his INNER SELF then what emerges is divine revelation of Samkhya.

So when this revelation happens to our rishis, they creates Rk veda whose underling dynamics can only be understood by the one who has the intellectual capability to understand the link between Samkhya and Rk Veda. It unfortunate that very few are their, who have calmed their mind to an extent that they can see thought these aspects divinity. In Kali yuga these people can be counted on finger tips.

Originator of different religions are the people who have understanding of these hidden aspects of divinity and thus they invent an art of living based on these Laws of Nature. They recognizes the trend of nature, they realizes that if during the given time if people don’t surrender to a particular Law then their survival, happiness and prosperity will be under threat of changing time trends. They recognize the shift in the equilibrium of the cosmos toward a particular law and thus changes or rewrite from scratch the scenarios, procedures, techniques, sequence of instructions, prayers, revelation ect for the benefit of masses.

All those people who follow these newly written instructions will prosper and rise to phenomenal material and spiritual heights since they are in perfect harmony with the nature trends. Other who belongs to different faith will stick to religious scriptures of their own faith and will not accept any modification or change in their ways of living. This will ignites the countdown of their downfall and over a period of time they will loss their land, property, freedom and will be left to live a life of recluse and downtrodden.

Finally, when these people silently contemplate their reason of the downfall then they will realize that who foolishly they have been weakening the laws of nature instead of strengthening them. When people realize this blunder it ignites the mass change in the mentality, spirituality, procedures and way of living. Since these changes have been initiated by people, who have become intellectual and spiritual beggars over the millennium of abusing the fundamental laws of nature, they are bound to commit mistakes. They are also under the pressure of sticking to their spiritual roots. Thus it results in corrupted procedures which are mixture of old and new ideology.

Over the period of time these corrupted procedures will become common practices will be performed by many people. This will further weaken their intellect and they will fall deep into the pit of darkness and disaster.

Taamas... what exactly it is...

“Tamas”, is mystery in itself. If one understands it, then one understands Lord Shiva. “Tamas” is the necessary rigidity, stiffness which keep energy in form of matter, as tamas is increased huge astronomical bodies take shape and structure.

Tamas is something which keeps people together. It forms organizations, states, countries. It gives shape and size to the world. As Tamas is decreased people move away from each other. Counties break ups, organizations grew smaller and smaller.

Tamas is what keep the sole into bodies, as it decrease sole leaves the body and what is left is tamas. What is left is “Shav”. As tamas is decrease, earthquakes, volcano eruptions, tsunami etc will occur.

Every graha, sun, moon, mars, Jupiter all and everything exists because all have taamas in them. Why Jupiter is in gaseous state and not solid? very less "tamas" is the reason...perhaps.

Source of "Tamas", Is no other then Lord Shiva.

When purusha enters prakriti in desire to drive it, maya manifest. As per current understanding of scientists an Atom is the minutest manifestation of maya. What keep proton and neutrons in form of nucleolus is tamas. What keep electron in its orbit, is rajas. The fact that an Atom is nothing but energy, is sattva.

One need to find answer of few key questions:

Who is purasha?
what is prakriti?

Only then one will understand significance of purasha driving the prakriti. Their is one more view, according to which prakriti drives the purasha. Of course this is wrong and is influenced by asura. When a purasha consider an another purasha as his master then slave purasha is driven by his master purasha.

Lord Shree Rama is the master purasha among all purashas. Untill and unless this is realized by atma; its liberation from the cycle of death and rebirth is not possible. Those who realize that lord has ultimate authority over prakriti and trust his wisdom will be blessed by lord.

Those who consider them as independent from lord and want to enjoy prakriti directly without the intervention of lord, are culprits and will fall to lower realms of existence.

Analysis of degree of the planets involved in a yoga.

If their is a combination of planets in a sign then do we need to consider degree of difference between the planets? When the planet aspects the sign, does it has any radius?

It can took some time to understand that, this question has has been already answered by sages. This is an another reason of having divisional charts. When ever we are talking about a yoga, we have to see strength of the these planets in concerned division chart.

Now suppose moon and venus are placed in a kendra in rashi chart. Now if they also remain in same rashi in hora chart then it will strengthen the yoga.

D3 not only shows siblings, it also shows virtues, it shows areas of movement. So people who says that Venus mars shows uncontrolled desires, passion fail to understand that if they are not joining in D3, nothing like this will happen.

Once you understand this, you will never ever worry about this "radius" thing.

We divide rashi, in 4 parts in D4, if both of them still joins then it means that this yoga will 100% confers good fortunes for the nativity.

If this fashion we can easily infer about the strength of a yoga.

The people who come up with concepts about degree of difference between planets, are incapable to understand such simple things which our sages has mentioned.

Gandhi Ji view on Brahmacharya

Brahmacharya literally means that mode of life which leads to the realization of God. That realization is impossible without practicing self-restraint. Self-restraint means restraint of all the senses. But ordinarily brahmacharya is understood to mean control of sexual organs and prevention of seminal discharge through complete control over the sexual instinct and the sexual organs. This becomes natural for the man who exercises self-restraint all round.

One notices that if people disregard the ordinary rules of brahmacharya and merely aim at and expect to prevent seminal discharges. They fail to achieve their object. Some of them become almost insane while others betray a sickly appearance. They are unable to prevent the discharge and if they succeed in restraining themselves from sexual intercourse, they think that they have attained all that was needed.

Now mere abstention from sexual intercourse cannot be termed brahmacharya. The absence of seminal discharges is a straightforward result of brahmacharya, but is not all. There is something very striking about a full-fledged brahmachari. His speech, his thought, and his action, all bespeak possession of vital force.

Shiva Homam

I usually talk about the degeneration of intellect in kali yuga. In this yuga tamo guna exists in predominance and sattva exists in very marginal potency. As is it impossible to see anything in darkness, people in kali yuga engage themselves in all kind of stupid and foolish things since these their intellect is blinded by the kalyugi darkness.

Things like erecting huge buildings which are destined to be shattered and ruined by natural calamities are being considered as object of pride. Even people feel proud to create weapons which are capable of destroying whole humanity within fractions of seconds.

If one wants to be proud of anything be proud of an achievement which is not destined to be devastated by eternal time.

People are digging deep into earth to set free all evil sprits sleeping in deep realms of hell and using it as fuel as the cost of bringing hell on earth. To compensate for the loss these people have come up with a solution of wearing black, consuming alcohol, tobacco, tea, coffee and other such products.

Degenerated intellect has bring us to verge in the history that people are performing shiva homa by pure cow ghee and reciting mantras from RigVeda since years and no one of these so called intellectual, scholars and people with wisdom are coming forward and asking to stop this irreligious practice.

It’s very unfortunate that people with no knowledge and understanding of divinity are promoting their irreligious believes without doing any research of ancient Indian scriptures and gullible people are easily falling pray, more pathetic is that no one is coming forward and say that stop this nonsense.

Lord Shiva is never ever pleased with Sattavik homa of any kind or any type. Not a single scriptural reference could be found out where nativity performs sattavik homa to please lord Shiva. However there are many references in purans that Lord Shiva was not invited to fire sacrifice conducted by Duksha Prajapati.

Why is it so?

It is so because lord Shiva will be accompanied by his ganas who are nothing but demons and evil sprits and presence of anything impure will destroy the fire sacrifice. Things which are pure and sacred in nature are to be offered into homam pit since it is believed that these things will ultimately reach devtas in heaven and nothing impure is ever offered to homam pit.

Lord Shiva didn’t live in heaven; by performing fire sacrifice one in try to send lord shiva to heaven. It is lethal, catastrophic mistake and will destroy equilibrium of the cosmos.

When a tantrik perform kali homa by offering tamsik objects into homam pit then he is actually sending tammas in these objects into higher world and since tamo guna is increased in the higher thus maa kali is strengthened. Tantrik will gain evil merit in the process which he can use it in his evil purposes.

Maa kali is personified as kaal, how is in the process to devour everything including even time. Lord Shiva is in eternal congress with maa; which pacify her. Otherwise she will not stop until she has devoured the whole universe. That's why lord shiva can't live in heaven; he has to stay where kali is. If one tries to sent lord Shiva to heaven nothing can stop kali and she will follow shiva into heaven. When that happens, it will be the end to cosmos.

Lord Shiva lives in Kalasha parvata and the only way to reach it to try to offer flowers, raw milk, fruits and sweets to shiva lingam. Performing rudrabhishakam is the only correct way to please lord shiva.

Even in Ramayana lord Rama tries to please lord Shiva by worshiping to Shiva lingam. Why didn’t he perform homa?

It is good if someone is promoting vedic tradition of homam but before doing so one must properly read religious scripture to understand that which deity can be pleased by performing sattavik homa. One should also understand that since pure cow ghee is not easily available and it’s rare to find any people with fully activated Pingala nadi; any homam will not yield satisfactory results. Purity of material offered into homa and purity of the person performing the homa is essential.

If a person accustomed to alcohol, lying, cheating if perform sattavik homa will only experience malefic results same is true if sattavik homam is performed with adulterated Ghee.

If a person not corrupted by vice perform homam with pure cow ghee and tries to please deities living in heaven such as indra, varuna, soma, agni, prajapati etc then such a native is equivalent(or will soon become) to demigods. Same is true for a brahmachari or a yogi who perform internal homam.

It is said in all scriptures that all spiritual practices should be followed under the guidance of a bonafide guru. A native without a capable guru is like god without power.

There is a way to perform spiritual sadhana which bring prosperity and happiness to the individual and to the people concerned. As a matter of fact all sadhanas are aimed towards strengthening the basic laws of nature. If a native with his deeds be able to strengthen these law he will be benefited and will rise in life.

There are primary two way of doing any sadhana, one is sattavic and other is tamasik also known as right handed and left handed paths. Vedic philosophy is right handed and tantaric philosophy is left handed.

Correct procedure of performing a sattavic homa is that native collects dry mango tree wood since mango karaka is surya and thus is considered as most sattvic tree. Then native must arrange absolutely pure cow ghee. It is well known who sattavic cow ghee is; its many times pure then normal buffalo ghee. Then one collects other offering of absolutely sattavic in nature. It is also essential that sadhak must be of sattavic temperament and not accustomed to vices such as lying, cheating, consuming alcohol etc. If native is a brahmachari then it is very favorable. Now native must choose mantras of sattavic gods such as soma, agni, prajapati, indra, savitura etc. This homa must be is performed early in the morning since during this time sattva guna is maximum. Native should face east direction from where sun rises as sun is the harbinger of sattva guna. In the similar fashion many more rule exists which when followed correctly will result in a homa which will leave its everlasting impression on the native and will bring tremendous auspicious results.

Correct procedure of performing a tamasik homa is that native collect wood of some tamasik tree such as babool, kikar then tantarick must arrange all tamasik offering such a mensulation blood, flesh, fish, alchoal, some kind of tamasik oil etc. It is also essential that sadhak must be of tamasik temperament must consume alcohol, meat himself. He must have very active sex life. Now such a native must choose mantras of tamasik deity and perform this homa in the middle of night when tamo guna is maximum and he must face south direction.

These are some of very general rules of correctly performing both left handed and right handed homas. As a matter of fact, some rules are so cryptic and esoteric that native will only understand these as the merit of many lifetimes. These rules are kept as secret of utmost importance and only disciples of those traditions can come any closer to these rules.

Though best way of pleasing a sattavik deity is by performing a homa and best way to please a tamasik deity is by using procedures mentioned in Tantra still if someone employs sattavic ways to perform homa of a tamasik deity such as lord Shiva then it will nothing more than a disaster. One should not mix left and right handed paths, based on once faith and believes one should either choose left or right handed path, mixing both of them is catastrophic.

Sattavik way of pleasing lord shiva is offering sattvik things to shiva lingam. This is most appropriate and beneficial way to receive blessings of lord shiva. For the same purpose millions of temples have been erected all over India.

When one is following a sattavik path; then unconsciously he is activating his pingala nadi and deactivating the Ida nadi, When a yogi have successfully achieved this by performing years of penance and have cleared the pores which are blocking his sushman then suddenly his Sushman nadi will be activated and his Kundlini will rise.

When one is following a tamasik path; then unconsciously one is deactivating his Pingla and activating Ida Nadi. When a yogi have successfully achieved this by performing years of penance and have cleared the pores which are blocking his sushman then suddenly his Sushman nadi will be activated and his Kundlini will rise.

When one is mixing both paths the neither his Pingala Nadi will be activated nor his Ida Nadi. Its simply means that native can never activate his sushman; thus will never ever achieve perfection and will remain very ordinary.

Also, If someone who has activated Pingala nadi by following satavik marga; if he suddenly tries to activate his Ida Nadi by moving towards tamasik marga then it will result in a disaster. There are many stories that an individual become mad while trying to activate his kundlini. The reason are quite evident but people are not to intelligent or graced enough to understand these entireties of divinity, that’s why a trustworthy and knowledgeable guru is must.

I must warn people to save themselves from such gurus who claim that they will activate their kundlini within a period of few day or weeks. They are cheating and fooling you for your money. Some movement of energy in pingla or ida nadi is not kundlini raising. Its requires years or life time of an effort and complete seclusion from the society to activate once Sushman. Also when ever a desire of gaining Siddhis arises in the mind of native then kundlini will divert toward associated nadi and then also sushman is not activated.

If one tries to study various trantrik procedures mentioned in Agni purana then one will find that in all trantrik procedure, it is clearly mentioned that these procedures must be performed using Gritha extracted from Tila seeds. But people simply ignores this and do not realize that if one perform these procedures by utilizing pure cow ghee then he will definitely be harmed. In Agni purana it is also mentioned that if one performs saraswati homa from gritha of Kapila cow then one will gain extraordinary merit.

Some people even didn’t understand the difference between rituals such as “Homa” and “Bali”. Homa is done for the gods living in heaven and Bali is about offering food to ghosts and goblins. It is very unfortunate the people are even mixing these completely unrelated procedures. It’s a high time for people to realize the difference between sattavik and tantarik homa.

Some other savants are promoting an ideology that reason of downfall of India and Indian Brahmin in particular is because of incorrect pronunciation of vedic mantra and reciting these mantra without being aware of the meaning hidden in it.

I have slight different views. Whenever there is a flood in a river then water will find one way or the other to escape but what if river is dried up. RigVeda mantras are for those young people who are filled up and radiating with the stored power of seminal fluid in them. If these people recite vedic mantras even without being aware of hidden meaning, even then it will still bring the auspicious results. However what to aspect from empty glasses…

I recently find a mail in my spam folder, in which a savant has produced a shloka from shiva purana according to which Shiva homa is sanctioned by the scriptures. Sholka goes like this.

viraktashcha bhavedshrotaa para ahani visheshataH

geetaa vaachyaa shivenoktaa raamachandraaya yo mune

gristashched bhavedshrotaa kartavyastena dheemataa

homaH shuddhena havishaa karmaNastasya shaantaye

rudrasamhitayaa homaH pratishlokena vaa mune

gaayatraastanmayatvaaccha puraaNasyaasya tatvataH

doShayo prashamaarthaM cha nyuunataadhikataakhyaayoH

Meaning : (not exact)

if the Shrotaa (one who hears ) is a Virakta (one who has denounced wordly pleasures), he should recite the geetha advised by Lord shiva to Shree Ramachandra (Shiva geetha). If he is Grihastha (family person), he should conduct Havan for Lord Mahadev with Shudha Havisha (Ghee, cooked rice etc) for the shanti of Karma (papa mukthi). The homa should be conducted by the mantras from rudra Samhitha. Homa could also be conducted with Gayatri Mantra, since Shiva purana is also Gaytraatmaka. The homa can also be conducted with Shiva Panchakshara Mantra.

I don’t know who he comes to a conclusion that “shuddhena havishaa” means “Ghee and cooked rice”. It is clearly mentioned in many tantrik text that homa of tamasik deities should be done with wood of tamasik tree such as babool and kiker and ghee extracted from tila sees should be used. Still if he is coming to this strange conclusion that “shuddhena havishaa” means Cow Ghee then I don’t know what to say.

Even in this sholka it is mentioned that this Homa should only be performed by a grihastha. I feel relaxed that at least he agrees that a person who is not married should not perform Shiva Homa. If not then I wonder that who he would refute the sholka produced by himself.

There are many type of gayatri mantra used widely for different purposes. In short Savitura gayatri mantra means, let their be light in three lokas. In short Rudra gayatri means, let their be Rudra in three lokas. Are you sure that Shiva Homa can be performed with Savitura Gayatri mantra and not with Rudra Gayatri Mantra? If that’s what you are trying to convey then I completely condemned your misbelieves.

In this sholka it is also mentioned that this homa should only be performed by reciting mantras from Rudra Samhitha. Shouldn’t this person think that it his duty to stop some persons who are performing Shiva Homa by reciting mantras from sattavik text such as RigVeda.

Under his ideology, all homas is performed by reciting mantras from RigVedas and cow ghee then suddenly he advises to recite any mantra of Shiva. What is this nonsense? Who can one mix both ways of performing a Homa and still get through fine.

Greatest secret of rigVeda is that a Rishi build up Soma in himself by performing penance. By reciting RigVeda mantras, he is offering this Soma to Sattavik Gods such as Indra, Agni etc. If one read RigVeda then one will see that most of the sholkas are about offering Soma Rasa to deities such as Indra and Agni.

Late. MahaRishi Mahesh Yogi advices his followers to read RigVeda after performing Transcendental Meditation. He also says that native generates lot of Soma by performing this meditation, so he should offer it to vedic gods. And here in India there are some people who are saying that Soma is Plant grown in Himalayas. Another nonsense of kalyugi darkness.

When a person eat all kind of tamasik food, is actively engaged in Sex and lust then he is actually generating Visha instead of Soma. If such a person recites Vedic hymns from RigVeda then he is actually harming Gods. This is the biggest truth of all.

Similarly, a person who is sattavik in nature, is a Brahmachari, stay away from tamasik food. Such a person should never perform homa of tamasik deity such a lord Shiva. It harms the native and Lord Shiva himself.

This is the truth, if one understands and adopts it in his life then he will not fail, he will never be disappointed in his life. However there are side effects which are faced by follower of tamasik marga; these are Cancer, Homosexuality, women dominated world, small life etc. I will write a detailed article about these aspects as well, if time permits!
