Personal and universal gods

First of all there is `Pitra devta'. We give strength to our pitra devta by offering him our prayers and energies. Subsequently he will take care of our ancestors.

Then comes `Kula Devta', who is responsible for taking care of whole Family, which includes uncle, aunty, brothers, sisters, their descendants etc. Those mortals who Kul devta is extremely powerful will be born among lineage of Kings.

Then there is `Grama Devta', who is responsible for taking care of the well being of the village inhabitants.

Scripture says that once father, mother, guru are equivalent to living devta. In the similar manner their are 84 crore devi/devtas.

Now, since you are the one who is giving strength to your devta, he is only concerned by your welfare and didn't care about others.

Stronger your devta are, better will be chances that you, your family, your village or your country will gain predominance over others who devta are rendered weak and incapable since their followers have stopped worshiping them.

This is all about personal devta, other then these there are universal devtas. These are responsible for the effective working of the universe. Lord krishan, Lord Raam and other Avatar of Vishnu are universal devta who are responsible for sustenance of whole universe, thus are worthy to be worshiped by every single human irrespective of their religious believes.

These concepts are so simple that even 5 years old can easily understand that stronger one is better are his chances to suppress the weaker. But somehow stronger have HYPNOTIZE the weaker that he might not understand the importance of his cultural heritage and didn't recognize his real strengths.
